Pledge to Recycle and Be a Winner
The Lincoln Recycling Office is participating in America Recycles Day,
Thursday, November 15. This annual nationwide event encourages
individuals, schools and businesses to recycle and buy recycled products.
"America Recycles Day is an opportunity for us to rededicate ourselves to
recycling," said Gene Hanlon, City of Lincoln Recycling Coordinator. "We are asking
individuals to pledge to improve their recycling efforts at home, work and
school. By doing the right thing, we conserve resources and save valuable
landfill space."
The Lincoln City Recycling Department in partnership with Midland Recycling, Lincoln Public Schools, and WasteCap Nebraska is working to promote this nationwide event by encouraging local business men, women and their employees to step up their personal and business recycling efforts. By completing a pledge card, each employee is entered into both the local and national prize drawing.
