After nearly two years of planning, volunteers will begin planting more than 3,200 native plants, 29 trees and 42 shrubs at FireWorks Restaurant located at the corner of South 86th Drive and Old Cheney Road on Friday, May 29.

WasteCap Nebraska welcomes new business member Harding & Shultz P.C, L.L.O.

WasteCap Nebraska welcomes new staff members Julie Diegel and John Huffer.

WasteCap Nebraska has grants available through its e-Scrap Nebraska grant program. Any community recycling program or business, public or private, anywhere within the State of Nebraska; regardless of size, can apply for funds from this grant fund. Preference will be given to those communities who are under-served in regards to electronics recycling opportunities. Funds are limited and these are matching grants where participants will pay a portion of the recycling fees, with a limited number of items offered at no charge.

WasteCap Nebraska and the Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) have teamed up for a summer blood drive campaign to encourage blood donation:  the ultimate act of recycling.  Help keep the blood supply strong during a traditionally difficult time of year.  Reduce the need, reuse what you’ve already got and recycle… your blood!

U.S. EPA Regions 1 and 2 invite you to participate in the Northeast Forum on Climate and Waste Connections, a free series of web-based trainings and discussions with experts, practitioners and peers from the Northeast and around the country.

Calling all Green Teams! Do you have a Green Team at your business? Would you like ideas and assistance to start one? WasteCap Nebraska is launching the Nebraska Green Team Network.

Regional roundtables are developing statewide. The meetings are designed to give businesses access to expert speakers, tours of businesses with successful green initiatives, and provide Teams with a forum to share:

This 8-hour class (non-credit: Certification) utilizes a mobile training unit developed to instruct members of the surface coating industry using state-of-the-art virtual reality technology.  This hands-on training is vital to assist spray paint technicians in improving their skills.  Technicians will be trained on increasing transfer efficiencies, decreasing material usage, spray booth maintenance, safety procedures and environmental regulations.  Participants completing this training will earn a five-year certification that can be used as an option to satisfy the Federal an
