Sadoff Iron and Metal completes Omaha, Nebraska, facility expansion

Sadoff Iron and Metal, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has announced that the expansion of its scrap metal recycling facility at 4918 F St. in Omaha, Nebraska, will be completed by mid-August 2016.

The 5,600-square-foot addition includes two new truck docks, a 35-foot ceiling height to allow for easy dumping and storage of material and increased covered storage areas for unprocessed and for ready-to-ship materials. The expansion gives Sadoff an additional 300,000 pounds of storage capacity and lends operational efficiencies, the company says, as well as enhances safety for employees and customers while continuing to meet compliance requirements for the site’s noncontact stormwater permit.

“We knew that this expansion would eventually be needed after we acquired this business from Midwest Metals in 2012,” says Sadoff CEO Mark Lasky.

“We are excited about our continued growth in the Omaha market, and this project will support that growth along with increasing safety and efficiency for our customers and employees,” he adds.

Sadoff’s Omaha yard purchases scrap metals and used electronics from the public and from local businesses and industry. It is one of two facilities the company has in Nebraska, the other of which is in Lincoln. The third-generation family owned company has operated in Nebraska since 1999.

Sadoff also operates seven locations in Wisconsin.
