Learn how PAYT works for residents and the steps you need to take it forward.
Decrease your waste by more than 40% just by changing how residents pay for trash service. A pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) system charges for trash based on the amount produced, so putting out four cans of trash costs more than putting out one can. It’s more equitable, it’s effective, and it’s been successfully adopted by more than 7000 communities in the U.S.
