Cross Training Center

WasteCap Nebraska would like to thank Cross Training Center for sponsoring the January Green Team Roundtable!

Cross Training Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower and equip disadvantaged and undereducated men and women through character development, vocational training and job experience.  They serve people who have been incarcerated, homeless, involved in gangs or substance abuse, victims of human trafficking or living in poverty to help them become self-sufficient and successful. CTC program participants learn to recycle and refurbish electronics, automobiles and appliances.  CTC sells quality refurbished computers at a low price, automobiles that have been inspected and detailed, low-priced appliances and other household goods for those in need.

In 2013 CTC purchased a new building at 5030 N. 72nd Street for their main operations, and one at 4256 Redman Ave. for auto mechanic training. Their goals are to add a commercial kitchen at the training center where they will provide training and job experience in catering and culinary art services. They also want to build a warehouse for their recycling services, add outdoor signage, a community computer Lab and vegetable gardens.
