What:
On October 9th and 10th, 2012, internationally recognized author and speaker, Auden Schendler will speak with business leaders, students, faculty and the general public about “Getting Green Done,” his book about what it takes to put sustainability ideas in to actual practice.  “You’ll learn that sustainability is more like trench warfare than surgery—and that we’re going to have to do a lot better than we’ve done if we hope to solve climate change.”

WasteCap Nebraska and the University of Nebraska-Omaha College of Business Administration.

Why:
Corporations are under increasing pressure to embrace social and environmental responsibility. Auden Schendler will discuss the importance of sustainability practices and how to implement climate solutions in the real world.

6-7:00 pm- Auden Schendler- Presentation to UNO- CBA classes, local sustainability officials, public invited (Specific times TBA)

Wednesday, October 10th – LINCOLN
8:00 am- 4:30pm - Sustainability Summit Conference – with keynote speaker, Auden Schendler at UNL East Campus Ballroom
11:30 am – 1:00 pm – Sustainable Business Awards luncheon, (Registration required if not attendee of Summit)  WasteCap Nebraska   awards presentation to Nebraska’s exemplary sustainable businesses. At UNL East Campus Ballroom
7:30-9:00 pm – Lincoln public Sustainability Discussion with Panel and Auden Schendler. The public is invited. (Hardin Hall at UNL East Campus.)
