Partners in Pollution Prevention
Partners in Pollution Prevention, a program of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, aims to reduce pollution and waste at its source. WasteCap Nebraska has partnered with the program since 1997 to place student interns in industrial facilities or small businesses so they can identify, evaluate, and implement pollution prevention projects.
Foodscrap Recycling
October 2007 — A pilot project coordinated by WasteCap Nebraska and UNL's Partners in Pollution Prevention (P3) has recycled 9,240 pounds of a Lincoln store's non-meat food scraps into livestock feed.[ read more ]
